Larry Yarbrough, 51 died Wednesday, April 3, 1996, at his residence. Services were held at Garland Street Church of Christ in Plainview. Burial followed in Plainview Memorial Park.

He was born July 27, 1944, in Memphis, Texas. He moved to Lockney in 1947 and to Plainview in 1954. He graduated from Plainview High School in 1962 and farmed in Hale County from 1964-1981. He lived in Lubbock from 1985 to 1993 and was a member of the Breakfast Optimist Club and Texas Twisters Snow Ski Club of Lubbock.

He owned Total Tree Care in Lubbock and coached and referreed football, basketball, baseball and softball.

He married June Maines on Feb. 7, 1987 in Taos, NM.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Kelly Yarbrough; three daughters, Kristie Richardson, Kayna Yarbrough and Karla Embry; two stepsons, Shain Hinson and Chris Hinson; his mother, Opal Yarbrough; a sister, Sandra Bradford and two grandchildren.
