Bennett Waylon "Bennie" White, 66 of Kaufman passed away May 3, 2011.

He was born Dec. 23, 1944, in Plainview, Texas to Waylon and Mildred White.

Bennie was a registered professional land surveyor and a member of the Texas Society of Professional Surveyors. He was adventurous, with a heart for racing cars and off-roading his jeep. Bennie loved the outdoors, especially working, relaxing and spending time with family and friends around the campfire on his ranch. He recently enjoyed handcrafting leather goods.

Bennie is survived by his loving wife Susan, sons, Cody White and Garrett White, granddaughter, Jocelyn; sister Ardith and husband Buddy Cline,  brother-in-law David Watson; nephew, Lance Cline and wife, Shelly, and their daughter Kara, niece Nikki Shuyler and daughters, Sydney and Addison; aunt Bettie and uncle James Hartnett; auny Faye Cox and several cousins.

Bennie was preceded in death by his parents. Memorial services for Mr. White will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, May 13, 2011, at Calvery Baptist Church, 1609 FM 1836 (Rand Road), Kaufman, Texas.
