Letter to Marilyn Kidd from David's sister Jane  May 8, 2006

Hello Marilyn. First of all ... thank you for your concern and care. Our family is devasted, and I am having a hard time imagining a world without my brother in it. He was truly the kindest, most generous man I ever knew, even if he was my brother. Here is what happened. he was a geologist and was out working on a field project in Grandberry with several other of his geologist co-workers. It was around noon time and it was quite hot. All of a sudden he slumped over, one of his friends ran up to him and immediately knew something was wrong. He asked David if he was experiencing any pain, but David said no. His friends quickly got him in a vehicle and headed for the hospital. On the way to the hospital one of his colleagues said he stiffened a bit and when asked, David said he was feeling no pain but was experiencing a tightness in his chest. At the ER  his friends lifted him into a wheel chair and he was immediately taken to a Dr. and as the Dr. was speaking to him quite suddenly his head slumped down and he was gone. it was really quite fast. He was far to young to die, but i take comfort in the fact that he had lots of loving friends and he had the happiest marriage I have ever observed. He had a very good life surrounded by the people He loved and doing what He loved most. Thanks again for your concern. Sincerely, Jane Tudor (McMahon)
