Stephen "Steve" Mack Reed of Dothan, Ala. formerly of Plainview, died Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2009, at Southwest Alabama Medical Center in Dothan. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Sat., Dec. 19, 2009, at First Baptist Church in Plainview, Texas, with the Rev. Jim Ritter, Pastor of Seth Ward Baptist Church, officiating. Mr. Reed was born May 24, 1944, to William Lloyd Reed and Melba Jo Jayroe-Reed in Garden City, Kn. Steve, a 1963 graduate of Plainview High School, started Reed's glass in Plainview in the early 1970's and later owned Delta Door Company in Upland, Calif.  He was retired at the time of his death. His father preceded him in death in 2004. He is survived by a son, Stephen Chad Reed of Lubbock; a daughter, Amy Jo Reed of Austin; grandchildren, Katlin Elizabeth Reed and Will Patrick Reed of Lubbock; his mother Melba Jo Reed of Plainview; a sister Jolynn Sweatt of Grandbury; two brothers, Ronald reed of Van Alstyne and David Reed of Plainview.
