James Steven Murcheski, 80 of Plainview, passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2022. Services are pending. Arrangements are entrusted to Lemons Funeral Home.

Steve was a past member of the Plains Art Association in Plainview. He had a talent for pencil drawing as well as pen & ink and rendered detailed drawings of rockets and other aircraft.

I know that Steve was born in Venezuela and spent his early years there before relocating to the US. I believe his father worked in the petroleum industry there.

Steve's father, mother and two brothers preceded him in death. He has a surviving brother Joe who has moved from his address in Plainview leaving no forwarding address and his phone number is no longer in service.
