Larry Haydon

Larry E. Haydon, 40, of Amarillo, formerly of Plainview, died at 5 p.m. Monday in Amarillo from an apparent heart attack.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Wood-Dunning Colonial Chapel. Officiating will be the Rev. Jeff Taylor, Associate Pastor of First United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park directed by Wood-Dunning Funeral Home.

Mr. Haydon was born Nov.19, 1944 in Plainview. Larry was a 1963 graduate of Plainview High School, he was active in sports and a member of the football team. He was a basketball and football official.

Mr. Haydon farmed and later became a hair stylist, working in Plainview, Lubbock, Clovis, N.M. and Amarillo. He moved from Plainview to Lubbock in 1979, to Clovis in 1983 and to Amarillo 1984.

Survivors are two daughters, Lori Haydon of Amarillo and Holly Haydon of San Angelo;and his mother Polly Haydon of Clovis, N.M.
