Luther (Walter) Foust Jr.

Luther Walter Foust Jr., 73 of Lubbock passed from this life Tuesday, September 11, 2018. He was born in Lubbock, Texas on August 28, 1945 to the late Pearl and Luther W. Foust, Sr.

Walter graduated from Plainview High School in 1963 and attended South Plains College in Levelland, West Texas State University in Canyon and South Tarrant County Junior College in Fort Worth, Texas.

He was a member of the Boy Scouts of America and the YMCA. 

Walter worked at L.R.V. Aerospace and Royal Business Forms both in Arlington for many years. After returning to Lubbock he became assistant manager of the Handy Dan Building Hardware Store.

Walter was preceded in death by his parents and  younger brother Ray Don. 

Those left to cherish his memory are his cousin, LaVina Young Shelton; friends, David Max Johnson, Leslie Hays, Ken and Donna Cartwright, Leroy Green and Vaughn James.

Graveside services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at Plainview Memorial Park with Paster Ray Christman, Leroy Green and Ken Cartwright officiating.

Arrangements were under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home & Memorial Park, Lubbock, Texas. Condolences may be offered on their website at www.resthavenfuneralhome.com.

So sad to hear of the loss of our friend Walter. We shared many things in life, including the loss of a younger brother and both of us owned '56 Fords. His encouraging posts and kind words will be missed. But we know that he knew the Lord and is in a good place now.
